Have you ever made Brazilian Caipirinhas? They are such simple, refreshing and delicious summery cocktails! Did you know caipirinhas are made with only three ingredients?  The three ingredients are lime, sugar, and Cachaça! Cachaça is a spirit distilled from sugarcane juice.

This recipe is meant for hosting a party and so it’s a large amount of cocktails! You will likely want to serve this in a glass lemonade dispenser with a spout. Cheers!

25 limes (3 cups lime juice)
3 cups simple syrup (1.5 cups hot water, 1.5 cups sugar mixed together)
6 cups Cachaça
limes slices for garnishes

Instructions

  1. juice the limes until you have 3 cups of lime juice (this will require roughly 25 limes) or you could use store-bought lime juice
  2. make 3 cups of simple syrup by mixing equal parts sugar & warm water together
  3. pour lime juice and simple syrup into a the lemonade dispenser
  4. measure 6 cups of Cachaça and add to the dispenser, stir
  5. chill, serve over ice and garnish with slices of lime

Tips: this makes a big batch for a party however you could make a much smaller batch or even one cocktail if you aren’t having a party
