How to Regrow Leeks Endlessly at Home

The next time you purchase produce at the grocery store, remember that you can easily regrow leeks at home. Leeks are a type of vegetable and they are in the same family as onions, garlic, chives, scallions, and shallots. They have a mild, onion-like flavor. You can serve leeks raw in a salad or boiled in a soup or stew. Leeks will sprout roots in a few days if you place them in water. Follow the steps below to grow endless amounts of leeks.

Instructions
1) purchase a bundle of leeks
2) cut the green part of the leeks off, use for cooking or place in the fridge for later
3) place the white bottoms in a shallow glass of water to regrow leeks
4) wait a week & leeks will have regrown 5-6 inches
