How to Make Pumpkin Spice Syrup

Ingredients
1 tsp ground allspice
1/2 tsp white pepper
9 mini 1-inch cinnamon sticks
2 whole nutmeg
one medium piece of ginger sliced thin (skin on)
6 whole cloves
2 1/2 cups sugar
1 1/4 cup water
Instructions
1) place all ingredients into a medium-sized pot, turn on high heat and stir until it starts to boil
2) remove from heat
3) strain the liquid into a glass jar & pour spices and ginger back into the pot
4) cook 1-2 mins on medium heat until nutmeg, cloves, cinnamon, and ginger are coated in syrup and slightly browned but not burnt
4) pour spices into a mason jar and stir
5) enjoy right away and then store in the fridge for up to one week
Tips: If you wish to use this syrup in cocktails you can actually stir some in with vodka, rum, or whiskey to create a festive holiday drink. Like your pumpkin spice extra spicy?
