Did you know that instead of using a disposable plastic bath loofah you can use all-natural soap saver bags? Soap saver bags are available in a variety of sustainable natural materials and are fully compostable. They are an earth-friendly alternative to plastic bath sponges & they make it easy to use up small pieces of bar soap. They work great in the shower or tub and have a gentle loofah-like texture that helps exfoliate the skin.
I made the switch to soap saver bags a few years ago. It’s been one of the easiest zero waste swaps I made. I was even able to get my fiance to move towards soap saver bags and I got him some soaps in scents he loves.

Instructions
1) Place a bar of soap inside the bag and pull the drawstring closed
2) Run water over the soap saver, lather & wash
3) Hang the drawstring bag up from the showerhead or tub faucet to dry after use
Tips: Store extra soap savers for guests & travel kits, use a clean soap saver each time a new bar of soap is opened. Soak empty soap savers in laundry detergent and warm water for a few hours, rinse, hang & reuse. Soap savers can be knitted or crocheted by hand as gifts
